Yarn processing
The yarn that makes up some of the most innovative and high-performance materials in the world are sourced and processed by our expert team here in Staffordshire.
We’re equipped with advanced machinery to process and test manmade fibres, managing everything in-house to ensure the highest levels of quality and consistency. Plus, HSF is ISO-accredited.
We produce specialist yarns for a wide range of different sectors, using various processes dependent on the materials and end-products.

High-performance technical yarns
Technical yarns are created using fibres with natural qualities like resistance to flames, impact, static, chemicals and so on.
They become high-performance by twisting methods to combine filaments that improve load-bearing capability and strength while enhancing uniformity and smoothness.
We use modern, highly developed materials in our technical yarns as they are both lightweight and highly protective. They are used in the manufacture of protective clothing, but can also make up conveyor belts, filters, seals, and insulation material in aeroplanes, engines, and turbines.
